Sochi contacted Zenit St. Petersburg regarding the loan of Russian football player Alexander Erokhin. He suspended talks with St. Petersburg. This was reported by metaratings.ru.

According to the publication, the reason for this was the 34-year-old midfielder’s reluctance to leave Zenit. Blue-white-blue coach Sergei Semak is not against the midfielder staying at least until the summer.

The agreement between 34-year-old Erokhin and Zenit is valid until the summer of 2024. The player, who played in 18 matches this season, made 3 assists. In total he made 212 appearances for the St. Petersburg club, scoring 36 goals and providing 17 assists.

In the first half of the Russian Premier League (RPL) season, Zenit ranked second in the rankings, collecting 36 points. Sergei Semak’s team is two points behind championship leader Krasnodar. Sochi is last, 16th, with 11 points.
