Sportmaster PRO expert Viktor Chadkin, who participates in freeride competitions (snowboarding outside prepared tracks), explained the benefits of snowboarding on human health in a meeting with socialbites.ca.
“Snowboarding is a good and healthy cardio exercise done in the fresh air and is an energy-intensive sport that will improve your physical condition and keep you fit.
First of all, snowboarding increases the tone of almost all of the stabilizer muscles that we do not use much in daily life. Secondly, as a result of exercise, the vestibular apparatus and coordination of movements improve, and this affects not only the strong muscular frame, but also the state of the nervous system, because the brain controls the body more effectively.
Thirdly, outdoor training is beneficial for the respiratory and cardiovascular systems: it accelerates metabolism, improves blood circulation and saturates cells with oxygen,” said Chadkin.
