Bogdan Shershun, former defender of the Ukrainian national team and CSKA Moscow, passed away at the age of 43. Journalist Vladimir Zverov reported this in his social networks.
It was stated that Bogdan suffered a long illness that the famous actor could not cope with.
Shershun was born in the city of Khmelnitsky (Ukraine). He is a graduate of Dnieper. The defender made his debut for the main team in 1997. In 2002 Shershun moved to CSKA Moscow. He played 76 matches for the Russian club. As part of the team, Shershun twice became the champion of Russia (2003, 2005) and twice won the Cup of Russia. In the 2004/05 season, together with CSKA, the defender won the UEFA Cup.
In 2005, Shershun from CSKA returned to the Dnieper. Three years later he moved to Arsenal Kiev and then to Krivbass. The defender ended his career in Volyn in 2014.
He played four matches as a member of the Ukraine national football team. After finishing his career, he worked as a television expert in the field of football.
