According to the last matchday results of the National Hockey League (NHL), Russian Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov lost his sole lead in the league’s scoring race.
Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon surpassed him in points. While the Canadian player scored two goals and made an assist in the Dallas Stars match, the Russian player only made an assist against Minnesota Wild.
Kucherov and MacKinnon each played the same number of games, racking up 64 effective actions (39). Among the league’s top three scorers is another Russian New York Rangers forward, Artemy Panarin (24+29), who scored 53 points in 37 games.
On the list of top NHL snipers, Kucherov (27) is second behind Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews (30).
Kucherov was included in the list of invitees for the NHL All-Star Game 2024. All-star weekend will be held in Toronto from February 1-3.
