19-year-old Russian hockey player Artem Duda signed a contract with the University of Toronto club. This was reported on the team’s page on the social network X.
In the statement made by the press service, it was said: “We signed a contract with Artem Duda, who was selected by the NHL club Arizona Coyotes in the second round of the draft in 2022.”
On December 17, Duda received a ban from the US Collegiate League from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The organization rejected the appeal of the hockey player, who wanted to get permission to play at the University of Maine, which he entered in the summer of 2023. Duda moved to the USA with a valid contract with CSKA Moscow.
The hockey player, who studied at the CSKA school, began his performances at the professional level in the 2020/21 season as part of the youth team of the Red Army army club. In January 2022, he was invited to play at the VHL level as part of the Zvezda farm club.
In the summer of 2022, Duda was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft. Since October 2022, the hockey player began to participate in games at the Continental Hockey League (KHL) level. On October 21, in CSKA’s home match against the Avtomobilist club, he earned his first goal score in the KHL and became the author of the assist.
