Maya Khromykh fell on the ice four times while performing her free program at the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk. Eteri Tutberidze’s ward is currently in last place.
First the skater fell from a triple Lutz. He followed with a triple somersault. Khromykh performed the next two jumps perfectly. However, he fell twice more in the second half. Student Tutberidze received 95.90 points with her free performance, giving a total of 164.30 points.

Khromykh started figure skating in 2009, when she was 3 years old, at the Sputnik sports school with coach Anna Boldina. In February 2018, the girl moved to Eteri Tutberidze’s group.
The International Skating Union (ISU) has suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus from competitions in the spring of 2022. Since then they have been focusing on local tournaments. The last major tournament for the Russians was the Olympic Games in Beijing in February 2022.
