Kukuyan and Karasev earned 2.155 million rubles from matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL). Kukuyan became the chief referee only nine times, and Karasev – 11. Kukuyan caught up with Karasev, as he worked five matches as a VAR referee in the second third of the championship, and Karasev – one.
In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions controlled by these organizations. In addition, referees from Russia are not appointed for matches under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA.
