Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler announced that he will retire after the assault incident in the match between Ankaragücü and Rizespor in the 15th round of the Turkish Championship. News from A Spor.

On December 11, Ankaragücü Club President Faruk Koca attacked Halil Umut Meler. After the first blow, the referee fell to the grass and received several more blows.
