Commenting on socialbites.ca, European champion Mark Kondratyuk called the rotation error in the short program at the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow stupid.

“On the contrary, the results are positive. The performances were far from ideal in many respects, but I am glad that progress has been made in Omsk. At least in points, in the number of recruits made.

I’m sorry I made such a stupid mistake on Saturday, I didn’t have anything like that. It was so stupid, I forgot. I hope this was the last time. Everyone forgets something; for example passport. I am a forgetful person in real life too. This is probably stupid for my level of skating but I have to move on. But I heard a lot of jokes from everyone, the mood was great,” said the athlete.

Kondratyuk also told how he was helped by the performance of Ilya Averbukh in his show, where the skater played the role of the bullfighter Escamillo instead of the injured Alexei Yagudin.

“The improvements in terms of Spanish moves allowed me to skate the Carmen show, and some of the moments of the show that you’re not too worried about helped translate that into the program,” the skater added.

Kondratyuk finished second at the Grand Prix in Moscow, collecting a total of 275.25 points. St. St. Petersburg figure skater Vladislav Dikidzhi won the gold medal.

Previously Averbukh said It’s about a “monstrous” incident from childhood.
