Vlada Nikolchenko was removed from the Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team. This was reported by the Tribuna.com portal with reference to the Acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvey Bidny.
In November, Nikolchenko held master classes for children in Poland. The girl performed at the international tournament “Warsaw Autumn” and then spoke harshly about the country and its inhabitants. The gymnast admitted that she hates Poland with all her heart, but even more so the people living in the country. The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation filed a disciplinary case against the athlete.
Later, the gymnast published an apology in which she explained that her words were a psychological breakdown.
In addition to the bronze medal at the European Championships, Nikolchenko also won a bronze medal at the world championships.
Russian athletes have not competed on the international stage since the end of February 2022, after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that sports federations refuse to invite domestic athletes.
Previously Fetisov offered Send international federations demanding money from Russians.
