Figure skater Gleb Lutfullin, who trains in Alexei Mishin’s group, talked about his impressions of the performance in Evgeni Plushenko’s show in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“At first I was surprised that I wasn’t tired at all. Just like in the free program, I skated for four minutes, but I could have calmly skated a few more points (smiles). I really wanted to go out and please the audience. It’s easier to skate in shows than in competitions because there isn’t as much excitement there.
Do I want to be in the show more? Yes. This develops calmness on the ice, the necessary breathing, because you have to skate there constantly. This calmness will later be transferred to the competitions. Therefore, I would be happy to take part in new shows,” said Lutfullin.
The 19-year-old skater won the bronze medal at the Russian Grand Prix in Kazan. He received 257.63 points in two programs.
Previously Lutfullin said About competition in Alexei Mishin’s group.
