Russian Vera Zvonareva defeated Belgian Elise Mertens and Australian Storm Hunter in a duet with German Laura Siegemund in the doubles semi-finals of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament held in Cancun, Mexico.
The match lasted 1 hour and 27 minutes and ended with scores of 3:6, 6:3, 10:5.
Zvonareva and Siegemund reached the final of the competition. In the main match of the tournament, tennis players will face American Nicole Melikar and Australian Ellen Perez.
The 39-year-old Russian woman is ranked 16th in the WTA doubles rankings. He has 12 wins in singles and 13 wins in doubles in the tournaments under the auspices of the organization. The 35-year-old German ranked ninth in the WTA doubles rankings and won two in singles and 11 in doubles in the tournaments under the auspices of the organization.
