On 26 September, the UEFA Executive Committee allowed Russian national teams consisting of players under the age of 17 to participate in international tournaments. They will demonstrate without flags or anthems, and the matches will be held abroad.
Following this, England, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Northern Ireland, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine announced that they were boycotting the match to be played with the Russian national teams.
