“I once said that Lokomotiv would fight for survival. Why did I say this? Because Izidor, whom Loko took away, is more promising than Dzyuba. Potentially stronger, younger. He can run and work both front and back at the French football school.
Dziuba was very good last season, saving Lokomotiv from relegation. But to get results consistently, you need to train a lot. And Artem involuntarily presses the brakes, they do not have a high-speed game,” said Orlov.

Dziuba signed a contract with Lokomotiv last season. Later, the player and the club extended the contract under the 1+1 plan. Before that, the striker played for Adana Demirspor in Turkey. At the beginning of November 2022, the parties terminated the contract.
In the new season, Dzyuba played six matches in the Russian Championship and one in the National Cup, scoring two goals and two assists.
