Russian tennis player says he is happy to change his citizenship to French

Tennis player Ksenia Efremova, who changed her sports citizenship from Russian to French, said she was happy to receive a naturalization notice. The lyrics are quoted by Tennis Majors.

“When I received my naturalization letter, I was happy, surprised and shocked in a good way. It changes a lot, almost like a new career. I am sure that I will receive great support,” he said.

Efremova’s manager, Loic Martin, noted that the athlete’s family will be proud to represent France in the international arena.

On September 3, the French flag appeared on Efremova’s profile on the official website of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The 14-year-old tennis player is ranked 154th in the ITF World Junior Rankings. He has been studying at the Patrick Mouratoğlu Academy in Nice for the past five years.

Biathlete previously changed nationality applied Russian athletes.
