Group 2 of the competition that will occupy the second semester of Argentine football has Boca, Racing and San Lorenzo as highlights.
2023 brought a change in the calendar. This time the two competitions that divide the year form a kind of castling: in the first part of the year the Professional League Tournament was played and River was crowned champion and in the second half of the season the fourth edition of the LPF Cup.
The Cup, which kicks off on Thursday, August 17, will maintain the same format as previous years: there will be a division into two zones (A and B) of 14 teams and the top four of each will qualify for the quarter-finals in search of of a place in the grand final, which will be played on Saturday 16 December.
The competition will begin eight months after the draw for the zones, around the beginning of November 2022, and zone B appears to be the most even, with the presence of five of the top seven in the LPF tournament table, including Boca and San Lorenzo, as well as Racing.
