Scaloni also named injured World Cup players such as Papu Gomez and Gio Lo Celso but omitted Joaquin Correa that he has already recovered and that during Qatar he experienced a situation similar to that of Nico González.
On the other hand, almost a week after the list was published, the DT decided to add to the call Giovani Simeone, who was provisionally listed for Qatar and has been a substitute for Napoli apart from usually adding minutes.
On Friday, March 17, the second drop from the list was announced. This time a world champion. On their social networks, papu gomez wrote a heartfelt message expressing why he will not be able to travel: “Unfortunately due to my injury I will not be able to travel to greet and hug them.
