The battle between Yaroslavl “Shinnik” and Transcarpathian “Minaj” players, which had a great impact in two days, continues to gain details, although the information from different sides does not add clarity, as the information from different sides is extremely contradictory.

It is known for certain that on February 15 both teams left the Royal Seginus hotel, where everything happened. At the same time, information emerged earlier that Shinnik will change their place of residence because they do not want to live in such an environment, and the Minai training camp is already about to end.

According to the “Championship” “Shinnik” moved to another hotel in Antalya. Currently, Russia’s women’s national football team is in the training camp there.

According to the news of the Ukrainian newspaper Bombardier, Minay initially demanded that there be no Russian teams in the same hotel, but due to the earthquake in Turkey, there was a problem in accommodation and some of the teams without accommodation were placed in other hotels. This is how Shinnik ended in Royal Seginus.

True, this version does not agree with what the general manager of the Russian club, Sergei Kulakov, said.

“We did not know that the Ukrainian team would stay at the hotel. We booked the hotel in November, we encountered a situation where the Ukrainian football players did not live in the hotel so that there would be no conflict. There was no one at that time. We understand why the Ukrainian team appeared in the hotel as a question for the hotel. I understand everything perfectly: work money and everything else, but safety must come first,” he said.

Well-known journalist Ilya Kazakov published information that residents of Yaroslavl paid their wages almost in March last year.

At the same time, the organizers of the training camp in Turkey train clubs in different hotels from Russia and Ukraine. Probably, it was possible that “Minaya” intersects with “Shinnik”, because at the time the club arrived from Yaroslavl, only two days remained until the evacuation of the Ukrainian team. Probably the organizers decided that such a period would not be a problem, and they were wrong.

opposite versions

After the incident, the hotel and the two clubs made contradictory official statements. So, representatives of the hotel said that the conflict between the players of the teams arose against the background of strong alcohol intoxication of both one and the other.

Allegedly, the players drank whiskey and coke all evening, and about five bottles of whiskey were ruined, according to representatives of Royal Seginus.

In the statement made by the authorities, “On the evening of February 13, an incident occurred with the players of the Ukrainian team Minai on the grounds of the Seginus Hotel in Belek, Turkey, where our team lives.” Shinnik’s website.

– In this regard, the football club “Shinnik” officially declares that it is not the initiator of this conflict. Our players acted like a real team alongside their teammates who were attacked.

According to the results of the health examination, no serious injury was found in Shinnik’s players. Currently our team is safe and the club has decided to move to another hotel to avoid further conflict.

It should be noted that this hotel was booked in November 2022, subject to the secure stay conditions of our team. We find and condemn all forms of violence unacceptable and will defend not only the interests of our club but also the interests of our country. Law enforcement is investigating the situation.”

The location of the “Minai” is significantly different from what the Russian side says.

“Yesterday, February 13, a fight broke out in the Turkish hotel Royal Seginus between FC Minay and representatives of Yaroslavl Shinnik. In a statement from the Ukrainian club, it was stated that the cause of the conflict was the shameful behavior of the Russian team players towards the hotel staff and the provocative shouts towards the Transcarpathians.

– The information that the Russian media forced representatives of Minai’s “Shinnik” to sing the anthem and beat the actress in the elevator is traditional nonsense. The fight really took place, but already where the Russians stood and in equal numbers.

After the fighting was over, the Russians continued to fight among themselves while the Minai were in their rooms. Those who tried to stop the fighting were accused of supporting Ukraine. The local police had to intervene to calm the Russians.

Before the start of the meeting, the main requirement of FC “Minaj” for the organizers was the absence of Russian teams in the hotel. The organizers themselves claim that the hotel agreed to organize the “Shinnik”.

Interestingly, the Antalya police, who were called to the hotel, only separated the opposite parties, arranged a protocol and did not detain anyone. Representatives of the police department later stated that there was no need to prosecute from a legal standpoint.

eyewitnesses

Already on February 15, the comments of those directly involved in the conflict began to gradually seep into the information space.

“To be honest, I don’t know the whole story, I usually slept in my room. Shinnik defender Artem Semeykin later heard shouts and the phrase “Glory to Ukraine” rushed into the aisle and said “No, kudos to Russia”.

“I jumped into the crowd. There were 20 people there. It is clear that I am not Hercules, but when my country is insulted, I think it is impossible to do otherwise. He defended Russia as soon as he saw inappropriate behavior. The guys say it was a planned action by the Ukrainian club. They rushed into our building. An incident in the elevator “There was more. Our child was returning from dinner, he was alone. In the elevator, several people approached him from the Ukrainian side and began to provoke and beat him.”

Semeykin is considered one of the four most fighting players in the Russian club.

“They said we were going to fight, that’s all. What should we do? Such is life now. One of the main conditions of our team was that there would not be a single Russian team in the hotels where we would live, because there would be 100% conflict. The organizers did not follow suit. I think that’s a big problem, Minai’s defender Dmitry Nemchaninov told Sport.ua.

– There was a fight, there was an equal number of wall-to-wall in the corridor. It wasn’t one or the other. What they wrote is complete nonsense. Nobody forced anyone to sing the Ukrainian anthem. how can you force [человека] to sing our anthem if he doesn’t even know the words? This is impossible. The fact that someone was beaten in the elevator wasn’t there either. No one on our team was injured. Did we give them? Dali.”

Who should be removed

“Applying to UEFA? This is not within the jurisdiction of the football club “Shinnik”. This must be done by the RFU or the FNL. According to our competence, only to act under the contract with the agent. Political stories are not our domain. Sergey Kulakov, general manager of Shinnik “If there is a request to UEFA, it is only the right of the RFU,” he said.

But Vyacheslav Koloskov, honorary president of the Russian Football Union and former vice-president of UEFA, believes that punishment should be given.

“Considering that the Ukrainian team was the first to attack Shinnik in that incident, could UEFA consider disqualifying their Ukrainian team? The Russians responded by deciding that only one of the ribs was broken and the players had to go to another hotel. I don’t understand that, how can you not respond to the challenge thrown at you, ”Koloskov told TASS.

– It is necessary to raise the question of the exclusion of Ukraine from European competitions. We are talking about concrete things, not realism. These are all categories unrelated to a specific situation. In any war Russia must prevail.”

At the same time, Andriy Pavelko, the current president of the Football Federation of Ukraine, has the opposite position:

“First of all, I talked to FC Minai management. He assured that the UAF was ready to provide legal protection and any other support in connection with the provocation. Secondly, I turned to the Turkish Football Federation with an insistent request to take measures to isolate as much as possible offensive Russian football players not only from our teams, but also from other countries, ”Pavelko said.
