State Department: US authorities plan to continue confiscating Russian assets

Daphne Rand, director of the State Department’s Office of Assistance to Other States, said US authorities intend to continue confiscating Russia’s assets. His words during a special briefing on US efforts to provide foreign aid, reports DEA News.

“We expect the DOJ team I mentioned to continue to confiscate assets in accordance with the law passed in December,” Rand said.

The State Department is now trying to figure out how best to dispose of the seized funds, he said.
