Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Russian fighter Islam Makhachev talked about how he was better than his opponent before fighting Alex Volkanovski, reports RMC Sports.
“What am I better at than Volkanovski at? Wrestling and grappling. This is my field. Am I under pressure before this fight? I didn’t start my career two years ago,” he said.
On February 12, Islam Makhachev will fight Alex Volkanovski at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia.
Volkanovski takes first place in the official UFC rankings among the best fighters, regardless of weight category.
On October 22, 2022, Islam Makhachev faced Brazil’s Charles Oliveira in the lightweight title fight at the UFC-280 tournament in Abu Dhabi. The Russian fighter won the second round with a suffocating grip.
