The Florida Panthers host the National Hockey League (NHL) All-Star Game in Sunrise, Florida.
Carolina Hurricanes’ Russian forward Andrey Svechnikov was the winner of the competition in the speed race. The forward advanced to the finals alongside Swiss forward “Los Angeles Kings” Kevin Fiala. The Russian showed a time of 13,699 seconds. Fiala ran in 14,114 seconds.
Russian Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, Vegas Golden Knights’ Chandler Stephenson, Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin and Colorado Avalanche guard Cale Makar did not qualify for the finals.
Previously, Russian forward “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin on the ice with his eldest son, Sergei, who threw the puck into an empty net in the pre-competition warm-up.
During the break between competitions, Ovechkin Jr. scored a goal and participated in the warm-up with other hockey players.
Recall that Alexander Ovechkin will participate in two skill competitions during the All-Star Game – 2023. The 37-year-old player will participate in the competition for the most beautiful shot as well as the strongest shot.
