CNN: FIFA refuses to reveal Zelensky’s address ahead of 2022 World Cup final in Qatar

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request to appeal before the World Cup final match. It has been reported CNN.

According to the source, Zelensky was surprised by FIFA’s decision. He wanted to appear in front of the fans who were present in the final match via video link. It was noted that the negotiations between FIFA and Ukraine on this issue are continuing. It remains unclear whether Zelensky wants to speak live or if his address is planned to be shown in the recordings.

The World Cup in Qatar started on 20 November and will end on 18 December. In the opening match of the tournament, the host faced the national team of Ecuador and was defeated by a score of 0-2. It should be noted that the Qataris could not leave the group by losing all three matches with a total score of 1:7.

The final match will be played on 18 December at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. In the main match of the tournament, the national teams of France and Argentina will meet.

In the semi-finals, the Argentines defeated the Croatian national team 3-0. Captain Lionel Messi scored a goal, Julian Alvarez scored a double.

The French were stronger than the Moroccan national team in their match (2:0). Theo Hernandez and Colo Muani came forward.
