Portuguese striker Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo named the most memorable victory of his career.
The 37-year-old striker said that while filming a commercial for the Louis Vuitton fashion house, he most remembers the 2016 European Championship, where he won the tournament with his teammates. Ronaldo added that participating in the fifth World Cup was a great achievement for him.
Ronaldo has been in the national team since 2003. During this time, he played 191 matches, in which he scored 117 goals.
The 2022 World Cup held in Qatar started on 20 November with the match played between the host of the tournament and the Ecuadorian team. The match ended 2-0 in favor of the South American team.
Portugal will face South Korea, Ghana and Uruguay in Group H.
The World Cup will be held in eight stadiums in five cities. The final match will be played at the National Stadium.
