Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter asserted on his personal page that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could soon leave Ukraine to avoid threats from within the country. He shared these thoughts on his own YouTube channel, framing the situation as a risk to Zelensky’s safety if he remains in the capital or travels within the country.
According to Ritter, Ukraine risks losing its leader, which could push Zelensky toward leaving the nation. He suggested that if Zelensky can legally establish that he did not commit war crimes, he might have an opportunity to relocate abroad with his family and pursue a life away from the conflict.
Ritter added that staying in Ukraine could lead to fatal harm, either from a direct attack by individuals in the Russian military or from broader political instability tied to the war.
Earlier, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, spoke on his YouTube channel about the Ukrainian crisis approaching a revolutionary moment. Soskin argued that President Zelensky had usurped power and that the political system in Ukraine had degraded as the Supreme Council, Ukraine’s parliament, failed to function effectively. He contended that real power was being held by a narrow elite rather than the people, and he warned that a power shift could be imminent.
