Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed that the China-Central Asia Summit should be a resounding success and leave a meaningful imprint on Beijing’s ties with the Central Asian nations. This perspective was conveyed to reporters via TASS. He noted that both China and the regional partners have already achieved a historic leap toward a stronger strategic partnership.
Speaking to the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan gathered in Xi, the Chinese president stated, “With united effort, tomorrow’s summit will surely conclude in success, and a new era will begin in the relations between China and the Central Asian states.”
Xi emphasized that the partnership between Beijing and Central Asian nations has injected positive energy into regional peace and development. He also underlined China’s willingness to advance cooperation moving forward.
“We sincerely seek China’s rapid progress and aim to provide Central Asian countries with opportunities for development to jointly explore bright avenues for collaboration,” Xi remarked.
Earlier reports suggested that the economies of Central Asian countries were projected to grow faster than Russia’s in 2023, underscoring a shift in regional dynamics that attracted attention across international markets. In this broader context, Beijing signaled its intent to deepen engagement with its western neighbors, aligning development goals with stability, trade, and modernization initiatives across the region.
