The Villena Socialist Party is entering the new election cycle with a clear aim: to govern the municipality with an outright majority. The list blends tested experience with energetic new voices, providing a balance that supporters say has the power to steer Villena through the upcoming legislature. The slate features councilors Javier Martínez, Juan José Olivares, Andrés Martínez, and María Teresa Gandía, alongside fresh contributor José Ferri Gandia. He is deeply engaged with Villena’s music, festivals, and local sports, emphasizing a team ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

The party highlights a prominent figure among the ranks, Mary Server, a celebrated educator who trained in the teaching department and studied at the Principe Don Juan Manuel de Villena School. The mayor describes her as a determined public servant, a warrior who is devoted to improving education in Villena and destined to grow her expertise through government service in the next legislature. Her presence signals a commitment to educational excellence and practical policy work that strengthens community outcomes over the long term.

The new candidacy also features Bartholomew Reig, a geography graduate and professor of geography and history. His long-standing involvement with the environment and with local association initiatives underscores the group’s focus on sustainable development, cultural enrichment, and civic participation. The roster is framed as a continuation of proven leadership paired with thoughtful innovations that align with Villena’s evolving needs.
