Palau de la Generalitat hosted this morning the inauguration of four new ministers joining the Valencian Government: Josephine Good in Innovation, Miguel Minguez in Health, Rachel Tamarit in Education, and Rebecca Torró in Regional Policy, along with changes in the policy portfolio led by David Spain in Tax Authorities. Their integration into the Consell marks a defining moment for the regional administration, as for the first time the cabinet features more women than men. Ximo Puig, head of the Generalitat, affirmed at the ceremony that a primary objective of this new phase, unfolding a year after the legislature began, is to reinforce the reactivation of the Valencian Community.

With this ceremony, held in the Corts chamber of the Palau de la Generalitat, the government reshuffle ends a period of crisis with changes across five ministries, four from the socialist quota and one from Compromís. It stands as the most significant cabinet renewal since the first Botànic coalition took office in 2015. Dozens of attendees, including officials such as the Minister of Science Diana Morant, former Vice-President Rubén Martínez Dalmau, and outgoing ministers Vicent Soler, Vicente Marzà, Ana Barceló, and Carolina Pascual, observed the unveiling of the new Council. Puig emphasized a desire to give the Valencian Community a fresh impetus to restart and reorient government action launched seven years ago. He noted the plan is clearly formulated and updated in light of challenges from the pandemic, the Ukraine conflict, and the energy crisis.
