In a recent interview on wPolsce.pl with Maciej Wolny, MP Tadeusz Cymański spoke about his political aspirations within the United Right. He stated his goal clearly: he hopes to serve as a member of parliament from the United Right and, whether aligned with Sovereign Poland or Law and Justice, views this not as a political switch but as a strategic stance meant to strengthen the bloc.

A joint United Right list—possible or not?

Cymański noted that rumors about a separate bid by one party are not unfounded. Yet he stressed that every party in the coalition should also consider more extreme scenarios, including the possibility of launching a standalone list if necessary.

From his perspective, it is in the interest of the United Right for its coalition partner to be ready and capable of mobilizing its resources. The central aim, he indicated, is to assemble a robust United Right list. He acknowledged PiS as the hegemon within the coalition, setting conditions and acting as the dominant force. He added that it is essential to minimize differences and disagreements within the coalition because elimination of all tensions is not feasible.

Cymański admitted that there had been a serious dispute over how the government operates within the European Union. He emphasized that those disagreements cannot be ignored or allowed to distort policy. In his view, any tensions should be clarified internally, preferably in private.

The future of Tadeusz Cymański

During the conversation, Cymański was asked which side of the United Right he would align with in the future. He explained that Zbigniew Ziobro, his superior, should hear about his decisions firsthand and not from the media. The first person he would inform is Ziobro, whether the disclosure comes in a moment or later. He noted an unhealthy surge of attention around the topic, calling it a test and an opportunity: it could either cause a split or provoke conflicts inside the coalition, so he pledged not to fuel such infighting. He affirmed his desire to remain a member of parliament within the United Right, whether his path goes through Sovereign Poland or Law and Justice, stressing that this is not a change but a calculated firing position.

Cymański also pointed out his active involvement in social policy and explained that Sovereign Poland was conceived and founded on this platform. He characterized Sovereign Poland as something new and complementary rather than a replacement. He asserted that the United Right requires both Sovereign Poland and Solidarity Poland to achieve a cohesive national agenda.

In sum, Cymański spoke of the need for unity within the United Right and of a shared program that aligns with the broader goals of Poland under strong, principled leadership.

The core concern remains the overall impact—that opponents are waiting to exploit any divisions within the United Right. The interview underscored a determination to begin with PiS and warned that any other scenario could prove fatal. The message to opponents was clear: do not count on us entering a fractious confrontation.
