Dmitry Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, indicated his willingness to resign if President Volodymyr Zelensky asks him to step down. He spoke amid rumors that Ukrainian authorities might be preparing to restart the government, as reported by TASS.
Kuleba outlined two potential reasons for resignation. First, he would consider stepping aside if the president requested it in return for his current appointment. Second, he would resign if he disagreed with how foreign policy was being defined and implemented. He emphasized that, for now, he remains focused on his duties in his role.
Earlier, Alexey Kucherenko, a deputy from the Batkivshchyna faction and the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on energy, housing, and communal services, commented on Zelensky’s remarks about the need to reboot the authorities.
Earlier reporting from The Washington Post noted that Ukrainian officials had informed the United States administration about Zelensky’s consideration of dismissing Valery Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of Ukrainian forces. Source: The Washington Post
