Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, announced that Kyiv aims to host a global peace summit on Ukrainian soil. He shared this intention on his Telegram channel, signaling a concerted push to place Ukraine at the center of international peace discussions.

In Copenhagen, consultations were held with national security and political advisers from Brazil, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and additional countries. The discussions focused on the core principles of peace and how they might guide future diplomacy. Yermak noted that this gathering builds on a broader dialogue initiated by Ukrainian leaders, alongside the G7 members and the Global South, following the Hiroshima G7 summit.

During the meetings, the Ukrainian delegation outlined the principles of the so-called peace formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Yermak emphasized that this formula should serve as the foundation for achieving a lasting and just peace for Ukraine, outlining concrete steps and commitments that could guide negotiations and post-conflict recovery.

Yermak also proposed Ukraine as the venue for a global peace summit. A representative from Zelenskys office indicated that several nations have already expressed willingness to host such an event, including the United Nations General Assembly, suggesting a broad international interest in facilitating a multilateral dialogue in or around Kyiv.

A short time earlier, Zelensky announced that the Organization of American States would participate in the peace summit, underscoring the involvement of regional organizations and international bodies in shaping the agenda and ensuring broad representation from diverse perspectives.
