Putin is wrong

Ukraine will defend itself to the last moment, drawing on eight years of experience since the 2014 conflict, demonstrating a readiness to endure and fight that has surprised many around the world.

Ukraine was expected to fall in a matter of days, yet a full year has passed, and the country continues to defend itself with unwavering determination. The Russians failed to capture Kyiv or any major city early in the war, achieving only limited strategic gains in places like Mariupol after prolonged and brutal fighting.
