At a conference with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, former head of the Prime Minister’s Office and PiS member Michał Dworczyk argued that attempts to distract the public would not hide higher prices, bigger bills, and thousands of layoffs. He contended that the current government has discarded Poland’s aspirations for growth and development.

Today, Tusk announced that in his office, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance — Tomasz Siemoniak, Adam Bodnar, and Andrzej Domański — signed an agreement to cooperate in the process of restoring state treasury property. The Prime Minister stated that so far 62 individuals have faced charges related to settlements from the previous administration and 149 reports have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office. The announcements were commented on by Michał Dworczyk, the former head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.

The government was accused of throwing away Poland’s development goals and instead delivering higher prices, steeper bills, and mass layoffs. Attempts to distract the public through various games were deemed ineffective. Nevertheless, it was acknowledged that the administration had set a high bar for misinformation, slander, and manipulation.

Tusk attacks Dworczyk

During the conference, Tusk claimed that under the PiS government, spending on subsidies from the general reserve of the state budget, which the prime minister controls, rose over three years. He highlighted the Freedom and Democracy Foundation, founded by Dworczyk, and the Help to Poland in the East Foundation, led by Jan Dziedziczak, as examples considered in this context.

There were ongoing discussions about how treasury resources and subsidy structures have evolved, with emphasis on accountability and the transparency of state-funded programs. The dialogue pointed to a broader debate over how fiscal reserves are allocated and monitored by the government in power.
