Former U.S. president Donald Trump told reporters that if he returns to the White House he would pursue world peace through a display of power. This claim was reported by RIA News.
Trump said he and his supporters would achieve global calm with the help of force. He made clear that he and other candidates in the 2024 U.S. presidential race believe they can prevent a looming global conflict that they say humanity is near.
Earlier, current U.S. President Joe Biden remarked that Trump would be willing to sacrifice democratic norms in the effort to reclaim power.
Trump has also described Biden as a fraud and a bad actor, arguing that it is hard to believe Biden will run for president again. He asserted that American governance is suffering from cognitive decline and questioned the vitality of the incumbent administration.
A day earlier observers warned that the 2024 elections could become among the most contentious in U.S. history. Trump was reported to be preparing to level political accusations against his opponents next year, accusations some critics described as an attempt to frame the Biden administration as a crime organization.
At times Trump has drawn comparisons between himself and notorious figures from American history, including a controversial reference to Al Capone.
