Transnistria submitted a formal request to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe to address concerns about the alleged preparation of sabotage groups in Moldova. This claim was shared by Vadim Krasnoselsky, the president of the unrecognized PMR, according to reports from RIA News.

Krasnoselsky indicated that, to date, there has been no response from Chisinau or the OSCE to these claims.

He noted that information about activities in Tiraspol had been kept quiet, mirroring the earlier handling of alleged terrorist plots against residents of Transnistria and an OSCE Chairmanship delegation in 2023.

The PMR leader emphasized that Moldova has seen active militarization and frequent military exercises, arguing that this trend necessitates changes to the peacekeeping mission and a potential reassessment of Moldova’s neutrality, which could carry significant consequences.

Earlier this year, Moldovan President Maia Sandu spoke about a geopolitical window of opportunity that might open in the coming years to resolve the Transnistria issue, while pointing to the continued presence of Russian troops in the PMR as a central obstacle to progress.

In previous discussions, Transnistria analysts considered Moldova’s possible path toward European Union membership even without resolving the regional status, highlighting the regional implications of any breakthrough or standstill in the peace process.
