President Vladimir Putin awarded Svetlana, the President of the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives, the Order of Honor for Philanthropy. The decree announcing the distinction appeared on the official portal that publishes legal information.
The document notes that the honor recognizes a sustained and meaningful contribution to social welfare and charitable work, including initiatives that have benefited communities and underscored civic responsibility within the country.
Additionally, the Order for Good Work was conferred upon V. Yu. Orlov in recognition of notable service and dedication to public or social tasks that advance community well-being and cultural development.
The Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives was founded in 2008 at the initiative of Svetlana Medvedeva, who played a leading role in guiding the organization’s early programs. Under her involvement, a range of projects spanning social support, cultural enrichment, and educational access were developed to empower individuals and strengthen civil society.
On December 21, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev visited Beijing and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He carried a message from President Putin, reflecting ongoing diplomatic engagement and the exchange of perspectives on bilateral cooperation and regional issues.
