The State Work Team, led by Mateusz Morawiecki, is anticipated to prepare concrete draft laws that will be introduced to the Sejm in a staged manner. The team is also expected to scrutinize and continually assess the actions of Donald Tusk’s government, according to PiS MP Paweł Szrot in an interview with PAP.
In a talk with Super Express, PiS MP Jan Dziedziczak stated that former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki would head what is described as the State Work Team, effectively a shadow cabinet.

The State Labor Team, or a shadow cabinet in the parlance of the British House of Commons, is already taking shape under Morawiecki’s leadership. The aim is to develop targeted solutions for each policy area and for every ministry, ensuring a substantive presence in opposition.
– this is how it was explained by a PiS MP in the discussion with PAP.
Paweł Szrot recalled that a similar group operated years ago.
He noted that in the 2009-2010 period the team functioned within party work, led by the party’s former vice president Przemysław Gosiewski. Its purpose at that time was to draft specific bills aligned with the Law and Justice program.
– Szrot added.
Main task? Bills
The projection is that the work of Morawiecki’s team will yield specific bills that are to be gradually submitted to the Sejm and presented to the Sejm majority.
– described the MP.
Szrot indicated that the team would also monitor the activities of the current administration.
To some extent, the group is expected to continuously evaluate the actions of Donald Tusk’s government, with the understanding that any proposals should reflect the policies that the government plans to pursue in Poland.
– he observed.
Personally, Szrot suggested that one should not anticipate favorable outcomes from these administrations, stressing a skeptical view.
He added that the team would include PiS politicians with governmental experience who have contributed to legislation under the Beata Szydło and Mateusz Morawiecki administrations.
That experience is seen as the foundation for the team’s work.
– Szrot concluded.
