Oleg Soskin, once an adviser to Ukraine’s former president Leonid Kuchma, described the aid from Germany as a mockery. He explained this in a video published in his magazine and on his YouTube channel.

According to Soskin, what is happening to Ukrainians is treated as a joke by those who provide support.

“This is not aid. It feels like a bitter aftertaste of pity. That’s all there is to it. This amounts to treason in effect. Ukraine is framed as the loser, and still they proclaim their support, claiming they will back us and offer something meaningful.”

He also argued that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has exhausted himself as a political leader.

Earlier, Soskin suggested that extending martial law in Ukraine could lead to disaster for the country’s stability and strategy.

He warned that the Ukrainian government is marching toward an abyss, and that the war zone places immense strain on the Ukrainian military, complicating efforts on the ground.

There has been prior activity around negotiations between the United States and Ukraine concerning security guarantees for Kyiv, marking another layer of the broader dialogue about Ukraine’s postwar security architecture.
