Serbia Reaffirms Military Neutrality Amid Ukraine Crisis

Serbia maintains that British reporting alleging that Belgrade transported weapons and equipment to Ukraine is without basis, according to statements attributed to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic. The stance reflects Belgrade’s commitment to military neutrality in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, a position he reiterated as reported by TASS.

Dacic emphasized that Serbia adheres to both local and international legal norms and does not supply arms or military gear to any country if such transfers could provoke or prolong armed conflict, threaten regional peace and security, or run counter to Serbia’s own defense interests. He noted that the government follows a policy of military neutrality and implements the National Security Council’s resolutions from the previous February.

According to the foreign minister, since the onset of the Ukrainian conflict, Belgrade has not provided weapons to any party in the war. He also clarified that purchasers of military equipment within Serbia are not allowed to resell those items without Serbia’s explicit permission.

Earlier remarks from Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic asserted that reports claiming Belgrade supplied Kiev with information weapons are false and misleading, reinforcing Serbia’s neutral posture amid ongoing tensions.
