A high-ranking figure in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced that a party delegation would travel to China on May 29 to observe how reforms are being implemented there. The statement was made during a joint plenary meeting of the party’s Central Committee and the Central Control and Supervisory Commission.
The official noted that China is revitalizing programs that were being pursued by the Communist Party before the disruptions caused by the pandemic, focusing on inter-party cooperation and shared governance models as a core theme of the current reform drive.
From the official viewpoint, the delegation would visit several Chinese regions so that younger party members could directly study and learn from the practical experiences of Chinese reforms, aligning with the party’s ongoing emphasis on modernization and organizational learning.
Gennady Zyuganov, the party’s leader, indicated that the delegation would depart for Beijing the day after tomorrow, signaling a rapid follow-through on this international learning initiative.
Meanwhile, a former Chinese foreign minister’s remarks were cited, asserting that the Russia–China relationship does not threaten other nations and should be pursued in a stable, peaceful manner.
Wang Yi, who holds a significant role connected to China’s foreign relations apparatus within the party framework, reiterated that Beijing stands ready to cooperate constructively with Moscow. The aim is to contribute to regional and global stability through dialogue and aligned policies. ”
