According to information shared by the diplomatic mission, on 18 December the Russian Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Alexander Bikantov, visited Dmitry Syty at a Bangui hospital where he was receiving care following an assassination attempt that had seriously injured him.
In a formal note conveyed through the Russian embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the CAR was urged to conduct a thorough investigation.
