The press secretary for the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Russian authorities will persist with the special military operation to counter Ukraine’s attacks on Russian territory. The information was relayed by TASS.
He pointed out that the Kiev authorities have not shied away from acts of terror, planned assassinations of notable individuals, and strikes against civilian infrastructure. These actions, he argued, indicate a continued pattern of aggression from Kyiv.
According to Peskov, the Kyiv regime appears determined to keep up this course of action. He asserted that such behavior will likely necessitate the unyielding continuation of the special operation in order to eliminate the threat entirely and restore security on Russian soil.
The spokesman also mentioned that Moscow is prepared to maintain open channels for transportation and cooperation in order to address the threat posed by Ukrainian forces to Russia. He stressed the goal of mitigating Ukrainian drone incursions and preventing further attacks on Russian territory.
Earlier, the Russian president’s spokesperson had reported that there were no preconditions for resuming negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He emphasized that Kyiv had not shown any effort to restart talks at that time.
Previously, in discussions circulating around Ukraine, there were references to potential negotiation terms with Russia, though no agreement had been reached. The overall exchange underscored the sensitive and evolving diplomatic dynamics surrounding the conflict, with both sides maintaining a hard stance while continuing to monitor evolving events on the ground.
As the situation evolves, observers in both Canada and the United States have been monitoring official statements for indications about future moves. Analysts note that the course of the conflict will continue to hinge on military developments, diplomatic signals, and broader regional security considerations. The need for consistent communication and transparent reporting remains a recurring theme for those following the crisis, especially for international audiences seeking clarity about ongoing actions and their implications for regional stability.
