PiS’s Radosław Fogiel highlighted a clash between two key figures who now form the governing coalition. The focus is on Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia. The Sejm speaker’s conduct raises serious questions.
Fogiel’s comparison suggests a clash of messages from two leading voices in the majority. One aims to protect soldiers guarding the Polish border, while the other appears to welcome refugees.
Kosiniak-Kamysz publicly thanks the soldiers guarding the Poland-Belarus border, while his colleague from the Third Way, Marshal Szymon Hołownia, is perceived to be running an advertising push for migrants crossing the border into Poland, implying rewards for reaching the Sejm.
– notes Fogiel.
Kosiniak-Kamysz posted an update on the X platform about meeting soldiers near the border.
“Today I met the soldiers and their families carrying out missions near our border with Belarus and extended Christmas greetings. Thank you for your service, which you have been providing continuously since July 2021. We are proud of you. Poland really needs you. Safe service!”
– reads the post.
Meanwhile, Szymon Hołownia was photographed in the Sejm with newcomers who had arrived in Poland, including some who were involved in the border situation with Belarus.
‘Russia benefits from the change of government’
Sebastian Kaleta from Sovereign Poland commented on Hołownia’s behavior.
Kaleta argued that the Sejm chair’s actions could be seen as an invitation for border crossing. He claimed that Russia is already gaining from Poland’s political shift. As has been reported, there are claims that Russia is increasing migrant smuggling from Belarus, according to information shared online by others.
– states the former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice.
