The conference will feature a major commitment from the Consell to tackle one of the region’s most persistent challenges: high rental costs. A central announcement will be the launch of a credit line from the Valencia Institute of Finance that supports the creation of affordable rental housing. The measure seeks to stabilize rents and increase access to housing for families and workers who face rising prices in the area. The initiative underscores a broader strategy to make housing more affordable while promoting stable neighborhoods and sustainable communities, backed by public funding and coordinated with local authorities.

The President will also present a clear map for the expansion of TRAM services before the Alicante Chamber of Commerce. The opening of the L9 segment linking Dénia to Benidorm marks a milestone, and Puig envisions integrating TRAM Line 1 with Mutxamel and Sant Joan. Future routes are outlined to connect Dénia with Gandía, Orihuela with Torrevieja, and Torrevieja with l’Altet, signaling a long-term plan to enhance regional mobility and reduce commuting times for residents. The plan aims to boost economic activity by improving accessibility and linking key urban centers with efficient public transport options.

In the educational arena, the Consell emphasizes strengthening Vocational Education and Training. The strategy includes increasing places and cycles in modern sectors and expanding Dual VET programs. This approach aims to give young people quicker access to hands-on work experience, aligning training with the needs of the regional labor market and supporting smoother transitions from education to employment. The initiative reflects a commitment to practical skills that meet local industry demands and contribute to lasting workforce development.
