Program Congress and Pillars for the Autumn Elections

In mid-May, a programming conference is being organized that will bring together experts and senior politicians to present the initial pillars of the party’s plan for the autumn elections. The party spokesman explained that there will be a strong emphasis on sovereignty across multiple pillars. Unofficial reporting from the editors of the Third Polish Radio Program indicates that the ruling party’s congress is scheduled for May 13 and 14.

The spokesman noted at the PAP Studio that Law and Justice intends to hold a major convention in the middle of May to outline forthcoming weeks of activity.

A conference framed around the program with input from experts and leading politicians is intended to establish the first foundations of a longer debate and a clear set of priorities shaped by discussions held across Poland in recent weeks, he added.

For several weeks, party representatives have been visiting different regions, meeting voters and discussing ailments, problems, and challenges that should be addressed in the next parliamentary term.

Program topics

Asked whether the party would unveil a comprehensive electoral program for the autumn elections at the May Congress, he indicated that what would be presented would likely be the initial pillars of that program.

Officials suggested that the exact content would depend on how discussions unfold, with announcements expected to evolve in tandem with the evolving debate, if the process leads to natural conclusions.

When asked whether the term sovereignty would feature among the pillars, he replied that sovereignty has long been an inseparable element of the Law and Justice platform.

He emphasized that Poland must act on the international stage and maintain relations with neighboring states to strengthen the country’s political and economic subjectivity. This stance echoes positions previously expressed by the late President Lech Kaczyński and echoed by the party leader, President Jarosław Kaczyński, on multiple occasions.
