The president, Andrzej Duda, has invited the election committees to meetings following the order determined by the election results. This approach was emphasized by Presidential Minister Marcin Przydacz during an interview on RMF FM, who noted that the opposition’s joint statement does not alter the process.

Consultation with the president and the opposition’s joint statement

Representatives from the electoral commissions that will be represented in the next Sejm are scheduled to meet at the presidential palace on Tuesday and Wednesday. These consultations will bring together the committees that participated in the elections to discuss the formation of a new parliamentary term.

Regarding the opposition’s joint statement issued on Tuesday morning, the head of the presidential Office for International Policy said he was unaware of the subject. He recalled that the President invited each committee separately and did not indicate that a united opposition delegation would be coming together for a single meeting.

The president invited every participating committee in the elections, following a clear sequence from the party with the most votes to the one with the fewest. Each group received an invitation and all were welcomed to the presidential palace for discussions.

Officials emphasized that the content of any public statements from the committees would be read by everyone involved and noted that the discussions would continue to unfold publicly through official statements as they are issued.
