The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, reaffirmed the nation’s enduring support for solidarity with NSZZ “Solidarność” during recent engagements. He announced plans to meet with representatives of Solidarity of Individual Farmers on Monday and with the National Committee of NSZZ “Solidarność” on Tuesday, underscoring a commitment to ongoing dialogue across sectors.
Last Friday, Duda participated in the 15th Beer Inn event in the Małopolska region, hosted by NSZZ “Solidarność” at the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. In his remarks, the President acknowledged that the current political climate presents challenges, while expressing hope that those appointed to the Council for Social Dialogue would be confirmed soon.
Speaking to attendees, he reflected on the long history of cooperation and collaboration within the republic. He remarked that a pause or setback in the past should be viewed as a momentary disruption rather than a trend, emphasizing that constructive dialogue is essential for Poland’s future.

“Together we accomplished tasks for the Republic of Poland”
During the event, Duda expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the beer tavern and recalled how the Wieliczka mine evokes memories of his early political efforts. He also noted that his presidential term is drawing toward its final phase, with about eighteen months remaining.
He conveyed sincere appreciation for the years of service and affirmed that, collectively, the country has advanced important initiatives. He pointed to achievements such as reforms in pension policy and the expansion of rest days to Sundays as examples of progress attributed to public cooperation.
“Solidarity remains attentive to the nation’s needs, and I stand with Solidarity. The Republic of Poland can always count on you,” he affirmed, highlighting the union’s role in voicing economic, social, and workers’ rights concerns.
In recalling the counsel of former President Lech Kaczyński, Duda stressed the importance of not dismissing unions’ intentions, even when distrust may arise. He insisted that responsible, well-reasoned discourse with serious trade unions, especially Solidarity, is vital when discussing economic conditions and labor issues.
