Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin addressed the latest social change survey published by wPolityce.pl, reaffirming the government’s stance on state ownership. He emphasized that the present administration will not allow privatization of state assets, underscoring a commitment to keep key national enterprises under state control.
The most recent findings from the Social Changes studio, commissioned by the wPolityce.pl portal, indicate that a majority of Poles favor maintaining important companies in public hands. The results carry significance because privatization proposals continue to surface, particularly among experts aligned with the opposition, prompting ongoing public debate about which entities should remain in state ownership.
Deputy Prime Minister Sasin’s response
In reaction to the survey, Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin outlined the plans of Donald Tusk and the Civic Coalition, arguing against any move to privatize strategic companies owned by the treasury. He stated that the PiS government will not permit such sales and asserted that Tusk and his circle will not realize their privatization goals.
As reflected in the submission, the Polish public appears to oppose privatization of key strategic firms, with the government positioning itself as the guardian of state control over these assets.
