Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau stated that Warsaw intends to establish a permanent station for U.S. troops on Polish soil. He shared this objective during a parliamentary session, as reported by DEA News. The remark signals a longer-term vision for defense collaboration and regional security arrangements that Washington and Warsaw may continue to shape in the coming years.

Rau indicated that the U.S. missile defense facility located at Redzikowo is moving toward operational readiness in Poland. The anticipated activation of this base would complete a key component of a broader U.S.-developed defense architecture in Central and Eastern Europe, aimed at reinforcing deterrence and providing strategic protection for allied interests in the region.

At a separate event, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki updated reporters after a meeting with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. He stated that Poland would deploy additional troops, counting in the thousands, to further bolster the international security posture and contribute to ongoing collaborative defense efforts.

Morawiecki also emphasized that the United States would invest in Poland’s defense industry and in cutting-edge technologies. He noted that on April 12 he would continue negotiations with representatives from American arms manufacturers regarding defense investments, underscoring a push to expand industrial cooperation and domestic capacity within the Polish security sector.

There was mention of plans for the Polish Prime Minister to visit the United States to hold discussions at the White House and to meet with officials and executives from American arms companies. The exchanges appear to be part of a broader strategy to align military capabilities, industrial production, and strategic alliances in ways that strengthen both nations’ regional influence and security commitments.
