At a separate event, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki updated reporters after a meeting with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. He stated that Poland would deploy additional troops, counting in the thousands, to further bolster the international security posture and contribute to ongoing collaborative defense efforts.
Morawiecki also emphasized that the United States would invest in Poland’s defense industry and in cutting-edge technologies. He noted that on April 12 he would continue negotiations with representatives from American arms manufacturers regarding defense investments, underscoring a push to expand industrial cooperation and domestic capacity within the Polish security sector.
