ZP candidate for president

A survey conducted by SW Research for rp.pl asked respondents to name who they think should carry the United Right banner in the 2025 presidential election. The poll listed potential candidates who might secure PiS support, including Mariusz Błaszczak, Przemysław Czarnek, Jarosław Kaczyński, Mateusz Morawiecki, Beata Szydło, Elżbieta Witek, and Zbigniew Ziobro. Participants could select one option or opt for the broad answer that suggested someone else could be the best fit.

What did the respondents decide? The most frequent reply was the catchall option, indicating that some other figure should lead the ticket, receiving about 22 percent of the votes. The results show a wide dispersion among named candidates, with several familiar names attracting modest shares.

Mateusz Morawiecki drew about 9 percent of the vote, reflecting support for his current and recent leadership roles. Beata Szydło gathered a small slice of the electorate, around 3.3 percent. Mariusz Błaszczak was seen as a possible contender by roughly 3.6 percent of participants. Elżbieta Witek attracted around 3.4 percent, while Jarosław Kaczyński received about 3.3 percent and Zbigniew Ziobro about 2.9 percent. Przemysław Czarnek was considered by roughly 1.8 percent of respondents. A notable portion, nearly half of those surveyed, did not express an opinion on the question.

The polling data reflects an environment where opinions are varied and leadership expectations within the United Right are still forming. It highlights the challenge for the coalition in identifying a candidate who can unify the base while appealing to a broader electorate ahead of the 2025 vote. The results also illustrate that potential candidates have distinct profiles and paths, making the field wide and dynamic. This kind of stakeout often precedes more formal declarations as party committees and voter coalitions weigh strategic advantages, public perception, and the ability to mobilize support across different regions.
