The incident at the parliamentary office of the Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, highlights how much pressure, aggression, and a heated public climate have intensified in recent politics, according to PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek on Friday.
Late last night, stones were thrown at the parliamentary office of Minister Błaszczak in Legionowo. Police officers quickly took control of the scene and began a formal inquiry.
This incident is another vivid example of aggression directed at PiS leaders that has struck a nerve across the political arena, in private television broadcasts, and within the broader public sphere, Bochenek stated.
Speaking at a press conference in Warsaw, Bochenek argued that the moment calls for a substantive, grounded conversation rather than rhetoric.
Another attack
He emphasized that this is not the first time Mariusz Błaszczak’s office has faced vandalism, nor is it the first incident involving PiS officials. In the past, Beata Kempa’s office was burned, and Marshal Stanisław Karczewski was assaulted in a supermarket, underscoring a pattern of aggressive episodes linked to the current political climate.
Bochenek, noting these events, contended that the pressures and heated environment created by opposing groups have escalated tensions in political life.
The PiS spokesperson called for a thoughtful, concrete dialogue about the issues at hand. He signaled that a broader discussion would be held with Poland at a programming conference scheduled for Saturday in Końskie, where the party plans to unveil a comprehensive set of proposals and respond to recent developments.
Bochenek described the conference as an opportunity to present the results of months of work and to introduce fresh ideas alongside the policies proposed in recent days.
The spokesperson also noted that the planned agenda would feature new initiatives in addition to a recap of existing proposals, aiming to lay out a clear path forward for the party and the nation.
